Los trabajadores de la acería griega están llevando a cabo una lucha referencial y emblemática en defensa de sus derechos, y llevan ya más de 200 días en huelga.
Desde la UIS MM y la Oficina Regional Europea de la FSM hacemos un llamamiento a los sindicatos del metal y la minería, y a todas las centrales sindicales del mundo a reforzar su solidaridad con estos trabajadores en lucha.

Trade Union International of
Metal and Mining (TUI-MM) of the World Trade Union Federation (WTUF)
shows its solidarity to the Greek Steel Workers of Helliniki
Halivourgia.
These workers are carrying out
an exemplary fight because they do not accept the regressive
conditions and cuts employers want to implement. In order to press
the workers to accept these unacceptable measures, employers have
chosen repression, and they have dismissed 119 workers and they have
threatened to dismiss all workers.
To
face this inadmissible situation, the steel workers went on
strike 200 days ago and they are still striking. These measures
are another outrage of the employers with the collusion of the
governments and institutions against the Greek and European working
class, another attack with the dismissals metal workers are suffering
in all European Union.
The Trade Union
International of Metal and mining, we show our total solidarity and
support the Helliniki Halivourgia Greek steel workers in their just
struggle in defence of their work and salary rights, and readmission
of the 119 dismissed workers.
The TUI-MM promises to
inform about the this fight and demands Helliniki Halivourgia
employers to accept workers' demands.

El pasado 1° de Mayo, antes de salir hacia alguno de los actos que con motivo de la fecha se realizaban, se me ocurrió, por acto reflejo, encender el televisor.
